edna’s poetry
i had only ever written three poems before traveling to san francisco …… there i found my passion for poetry, and now have over 55 notebooks of poetry in my closet…….
one of my first discoveries in san fran was coming across an edna st. vincent millay book
i fell in love with her work ……… and it inspired me to write. i began attending poetry readings in North Beach of San Fran……… hosted by Mark Schwartz …… there i met many people who influenced me including George Tsongas, Allan Cohen, Mike Oak, Rudy Waltz, Vlad and David Lovvins …… i have such fine memories of hanging with the poets ….. and much writing was the result.
i’d like to say my poetry is like going on a blind date with a sassy girl wearing no makeup and no underwear ………..

traveled far and near
liked to exit casually
and slip out through the rear

and became so well known
that all the intellectuals called him art when he was blown !
