the Goodwill Project

painting12.jpgIn 2004, Edna Floretta took the majority of her body of 2-D work, consisting of over 30 paintings and photo collages to the local thrift stores.

She did this in frustration with the “art world” and in frustration with being an artist in general.

Now, her heart is broken and she wishes she never made this move, as the art is lost forever, most of the pieces having never been photographed.  There exists however, a small video in which she prowls through her storage bin of art.

the Goodwill Project has ultimately become an eastern meditation about “letting go” !
